Celebrating Officer Goodman. January 11, 2021

Mr. Goodman was the Only Man Standing when the Sergeant at Arms of the US Senate and his men took an extended launch break amidst the suffocating presence of the President's mob. Before going to the excuse, let's ponder over a few questions.
Are there no security cameras in that building? Is there a security room in that building? Did those at the security room see the helplessness of Mr. Goodman in the hallway, running up the stairs with no support coming? And why was Mr. Goodman by himself, when you have thousands of unruly attackers all over Capitol Hill, poised for insurrection?
Even if they didn't fathom the gravity of the attacks beforehand, but the breaking and entry into the Capitol Buildings didn't happen immediately. Thus, giving the Sergeant at Arms and the various security agencies enough time to rally their troops into action or call for help.
The attackers were at the doorsteps or at the various entrance to the Capitol Buildings for an extended period of time before the forced entry. You guys had all the time in the world to do the right thing, but you failed. How long, for instance, does it take to mobilize troops from Maryland and Virginia to DC?
That you didn't expect what happened is halfbaked. You had the time and resources to preempt the onslaught. You never did. What took place - the successful breaking and entry - was simply the will of the President's collaborators in Capitol Hill.
I repeat, even if you didn't anticipate the deadly attack a day earlier; however, the volatile scene that unfolded on the premise and the time frame before the attack - evidently, providing rooms for counterinsurgency - put a lie to all the lame excuses coming so far from the Capitol Hill Police.
