I used to categorize Mr. Roger Stone of American politics in the same bracket as Mr. Dino Melaye of Nigeria. In terms of antics, drama, showmanship, and the morbid embellishment of ailments or injuries following their encounters with the Police, the two gentlemen still remain the same. However, on the question of knowingly and unrepentantly courting criminality and engaging in acts of insurrections, I want to cut Dino some slack. He isn't Roger Stone.
Watching this attached video in the past few days and knowing the enormity of the calamity associated with his planned coup before the declaration of Mr. Biden as the President-elect, I can now understand why his Washington DC lobbying firm, Black, Manafort, Stone, and Kelly (BMSK), could enjoy the patronage of General Sani Abacha as a client, while he (Gen Abacha) was a brutal Military Head of State in Nigeria.
Mr. Stone isn't cut out for integrity or statesmanship. He mighty exudes splendor and opulence in his attire and sartorial taste, but royalty and honor cannot appear in the same line with his name.
An unmistakable debonair elder who has no qualms espousing the criminal proclivity of President Nixon should not provoke any surprise in the minds of decent people with his January 05 talking points memo to state electoral officials to use state legislators to subvert the will of the electorates. And that's the Nixon in Roger.
