Edo Central Senatorial District Election: Why I Need Your Vote and Support. Part One. SEPTEMBER 29, 2022

When I wrote the attached essay that you are about to read, the ICPC boss, Mr. Bolaji Owosanoye, had not met with the Senate to (1) lament the alarming scale of budget padding in our MDAs, (2) the effort his agency is making in recent times to forestall the activity, and (3), the amount of money saved in the process.

Commendable as that effort is, )what he has not done or didn't tell us is what Mr. Lee Khuan Yew did in Singapore to end corruption and embezzlement of public funds. And that's prosecutorial activism as well as the imposition of jail terms that are commensurate with the crimes as I recommended in the attached essay. Mr. Owosanoye did not present before Nigeria a comprehensive list of the perpetrators of the budget padding bonanza, the extent of their prosecution, and the number of years they are currently serving in jail.
How can we successfully wage war against white-collar crime in Nigeria, if those who are guilty of criminal charges are not punished to create a deterrent factor?
With me in the Senate, accountability will have a prime spot in our political system and those who are involved in the squandering of our riches will not evade prosecution and adequate penalty.
Never say one man can't make a change in a corrupt political culture. Win or lose, Mr. Peter Obi is currently changing the narrative of our leadership struggle and sociopolitical emancipation. And the death of Mahsa Amini in Police custody in Iran has provoked unprecedented anti-government protests the present hardline government didn't anticipate. Just trust that change is possible and that one individual can change a system for good.
My name is Alex Ehi Aidaghese, and I endorse this message.
