Not a healthy development. America needs to do a major policy rethink in its investment decision in Africa. Democracy or dictatorship shouldn't be the overriding factor in weighing eligibility. After all, Egypt, pre the sacking of President Mubarak, was not a democracy. Yet, it continues to receive the largest US foreign aid in Africa. With respect to the protracted LGBT issue, it shouldn't be a master-servant discussion, but one based on mutual respect.
